Corn is hidden in many processed and packaged foods, so carefully read and research all ingredients before consumption. Corn is also a common feed for livestock such as poultry, so highly allergic consumers should research the entire life cycle of foods they may consume.

Recipeeper's Corn Free Tag Methodology

To determine if a recipe is corn free, we filter out any ingredients that may contain corn. Recipes are denoted corn-free if they do not contain any of the following:

Corn, Baking powder, Confectioner Sugar, Powdered sugar, Food Starch, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Cornmeal, Grits, Hominy, Maize, Mannitol, Margarine, Caramel color, Citric acid, Fish Sticks, Graham Crackers, Ice Cream, Malt Syrup, Marshmallows, Ketchup, Mustard, Syrup, Polenta, Vanilla extract (may contain corn syrup), Vegetable Oil, Monosodium glutamate, Iodized/Table Salt 1 2

We are unable to scan processed foods for specific corn sugars, so before consuming any processed or packaged foods always check the ingredients - including, but not limited to, the following:
